AWE is a collaborative show I did with artists, Elisa Courtway and Abby Auerbach. I had two main pieces within the show. The first was “Deconstructed” which is a reassembled image of trees, distorted and fragmented in a collaging process. The fragmentation is further proven with the difference in the subject matter, in some areas the trees appear as they would in the natural world but in others the branches appear man-cut wood. The other piece is titled “Deconstructing” and it’s my way of playing with the concept of memories by taking apart an original image and then reassembling it into a work that is made whole.
